The Sacramento Hmong New Year Festival is an annual cultural celebration that brings together the Hmong community to honor their heritage through traditional music, dance, food, and cultural activities. Over seven years of partnership, I developed multiple branding iterations for this vibrant festival that authentically represent the community while appealing to diverse audiences. This design centers around bright blue and pink colors that reflect the vivid hues found in traditional Hmong cultural attire. I incorporated real photographs from previous years' events to showcase genuine moments of celebration and give newcomers an authentic preview of the festival's atmosphere. This long-term collaboration allowed me to develop a deep cultural understanding, resulting in branding that truly serves the Sacramento Hmong community's most important annual celebration.
